Knowledge base

Everything you've recorded, ready to answer.

Every meeting, interview and video you transcribe becomes knowledge you can talk to. Ask in plain language and get one clear answer, drawn from across your recordings, with every claim linked to the moment it was said.

  • One question, every recording — Ask across all your sessions at once, or narrow the question to a single meeting.
  • Answers you can check — Each answer lists its sources. Click one to read the original words, with speaker and timestamp.
  • Grounded in your own words — Answers come from your transcripts and summaries, so you always know where a fact came from.

Agentic research

Not a search box. A research assistant.

Real questions need more than one lookup. The assistant plans its research, finds the right recordings, reads around every match, compares sessions and counts what matters, then writes the answer and shows its progress as it works.

  • Understand the question — Keeps names, dates and the language of your sources intact.
  • Find the right recordings — Lists which sessions matter before reading a word.
  • Search and read — Hybrid search finds the passages, then it reads the transcript around them.
  • Compare and count — Lines up meetings, tracks what changed, and counts or groups results.
  • Answer with citations — One clear answer, every point linked to its source.
  • What changed between these meetings?
  • Who owns what, and by when?
  • Find the exact quote on pricing
  • How many interviews mention onboarding?

Answers are written by the AI service you choose: VoxStudio Cloud or your own API key.

MCP · Cloud and Mac

Your knowledge, inside ChatGPT and Claude.

Connect VoxStudio to the assistant you already use. Ask in ChatGPT, Codex, Claude or Cursor, and it searches your recordings through MCP and answers with citations to the original transcript.

  • VoxStudio Cloud MCP — One URL for your cloud sessions. Sign in with OAuth once and use it from ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor, without the Mac app running.
  • Mac MCP server on 127.0.0.1 — The Mac app serves your local library to MCP clients on the same Mac. Your recordings are searched right on your Mac.
  • Evidence, not guesses — VoxStudio returns the original passages with session and time; your assistant writes the answer and cites them.

Local by design

Your media stays on your Mac.

Download the local models once. Transcription, speaker labels and caption timing then run on this Mac, and recordings live in storage you control.

  • On-device transcription — Speech recognition, speaker identification and timed captions run with local models.
  • Local media storage — Recordings, imports and projects are saved on your Mac, not in a cloud library.
  • Cloud services, your choice — Turn on a cloud service or your own API key only for the tasks that need one.

Summaries, translation and the AI assistant may use the AI service you select. Only the content that task needs is sent.

VoxStudio Web

Transcripts that read like a finished document.

Upload a file or paste a video link in any browser. Speakers, timestamps and a summary appear next to the player, ready to translate, export or keep editing.

  • Speakers and timestamps — Every paragraph is labeled and time-aligned.
  • Click to play — Jump the player to any line of the transcript.
  • Summary and translation — Generate a summary or translate the transcript into another language.

Subtitles & editing

Captions that stay in sync with the cut.

Refine subtitle segments line by line, then place them on a multitrack timeline. Position, trim and export with captions aligned to picture and sound.

  • Segment-level editing — Adjust the text and timing of each subtitle segment.
  • Caption track on the timeline — Captions sit on their own track above video and audio.
  • Trim and export in sync — Cut the edit and keep captions aligned through export.

Voiceover & reference voices

Give the story a voice.

Write the script segment by segment and choose a reference voice for each. Keep authorized voices in a local library and reuse them across projects.

  • A voice for every segment — Mix the default voice with a different reference voice per segment.
  • Local voice library — Preview, organize and set a default voice stored on your Mac.
  • Start from a transcript — Import a transcript as the script, then translate and dub.

Use only voices you have permission to use.

Share your results

Send a link, not a file.

Share a finished session with a public link. Recipients open the player, transcript and summary in their browser.

  • One link to send — Copy the link from the session menu and paste it anywhere.
  • Ready to read — Player, speakers, timestamps and summary on one page.
  • Stop sharing anytime — Revoke any link from Shared Assets.

Questions, answered

What can I ask the knowledge assistant?

Anything your recordings cover: what changed between meetings, who owns which task and by when, the exact quote on a topic, or how many sessions mention something. Ask across all sessions or just one; every answer links back to its sources. It works in the Mac app and in VoxStudio Web.

What runs locally on my Mac?

After you download the local models, transcription, speaker identification, caption timing, search and audio enhancement run on your Mac. Media and projects are saved in local storage.

Can ChatGPT or Claude use my VoxStudio library?

Yes. Use VoxStudio Cloud MCP to connect ChatGPT, Codex, Claude or Cursor to your cloud sessions with one sign-in, or the MCP server built into the Mac app for clients on the same Mac. Your assistant answers with citations to the original transcript.

When is content sent to a cloud service?

Only when you use a cloud feature, such as summaries, translation, the AI assistant or cloud voices, and only the content that task needs. You choose the service in Settings, including your own API key.

Which Macs are supported?

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Intel-based Macs are not supported.

How does the trial work?
